Styczyński collected various faces of the Vistula. Everyone can find something familiar here, an idea about Poland that he acquired from school textbooks or simply by collecting private travel memories. Thus, there is something unifying in Styczyński’s intention, able to dialogue on a broad, common level of meaning, but elegantly and unobtrusively. Joining different ideas about the country, Styczyński encourages us to question them personally, or at least update them. Do we know or believe that we know?
